Beijing: City Hotels and Accommodation
Central Beijing is the best place to look for accommodation in the city and is located around 27 km / 17 miles south-west of Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). Hotels here experience most aspects of local city life, being amongst the hustle and bustle by day, and the lively nightlife as the evening approaches, particularly in Beijing's Dong Cheng district.
Further hotels are located in and around the eastern district of Chao Yang, close to a host of restaurants and shopping opportunities, and in the Wang Fu Jing neighbourhood, where luxury accommodation is particularly plentiful. Also worth noting, the commercial Hai Dian district, away from central Beijing, contains an extensive selection of basic hotels and cheap guest houses, providing good value.
